APTEKIM 2024 National Congress Successfully Held in Bali

Bali, November 15, 2024 – The 2024 National Congress (Musyawarah Nasional, Munas) of the Indonesian Association of Chemical Engineering Education (Asosiasi Pendidikan Tinggi Teknik Kimia, APTEKIM) concluded successfully in Bali, bringing together active participation from representatives of 24 higher education institutions offering chemical engineering programs across Indonesia.

The event marked a pivotal moment in shaping the organization’s strategic direction and policies, as well as the transition of leadership. During the forum, Hary Devianto, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., was officially elected as the new Chairperson of APTEKIM, succeeding Ir. Idral Amri, ST., MT., Ph.D., who led the organization with dedication and commitment.

In his farewell address, Ir. Idral Amri expressed his gratitude for the collaboration fostered during his tenure and conveyed his hope for a more progressive APTEKIM under the new leadership. “APTEKIM has been a vital platform for advancing chemical engineering education in Indonesia. I believe that under the new leadership, we will continue to grow stronger and become globally competitive,” he stated.

Hary Devianto, the newly elected Chairperson, outlined his vision for the organization, emphasizing the importance of enhancing synergy among APTEKIM members, aligning curricula with industry demands, and promoting strategic collaborations at both national and international levels.

This successful congress reaffirmed APTEKIM’s commitment to advancing chemical engineering education and its role in driving innovation and excellence within the field.
